Supply
Supply is produced by cities, farms, and reactors and is used to feed your military. The more supply you have, the larger a military you can support. If you don't have enough supply to support your military (or if your units cannot access it), then some of your units will become unsupplied and suffer heavy combat penalties.
Supply line mechanics
For a unit to be supplied, it must be connected to a source of supply by a continuous path of your territory. Alternatively, supply can be transported between two coastal cities that are connected by water. Ships that are touching land can also be used to transport supply across water.
It could be the case that your empire is cut in two, with neither half being connected to the other. In this case, each half will have to manage its own supply production and consumption separately — nothing will be shared between them.
Supply producers and consumers
Reactors are the most gold efficient source of supply. Cities and fully upgraded farms provide the same amount of supply and cost the game amount of gold.
Structure | Supply produced | Gold cost | Supply/gold ratio |
---|---|---|---|
City | 10 | 5 | 2 |
Farm (level 1) | 5 | 5 | 1 |
Farm (level 2) | 10 | 5 | 2 |
Reactor | 100 | 40 | 2.5 |
